The Piano Lesson

Before Alex was born I loved to play the piano and feel him move in response. So, when we were staying with my parents I couldn't resist playing the piano for him. At first he was mostly mesmerized by his reflection in the mahogany. After a few minites he realized that if he pushed the keys they made noise. That was when he had his first piano lesson. I held his hands and played a few simple melodies with him in my lap. He was so calm and attentive. It was a magical mommy moment. I never want to forget it.
