Alta Dude!

Alex had is first day on his very own skis yesterday. And he loved it! The best part was when we let him glide on the snow back and forth between us. There is a definite learning curve for teaching your toddler how to ski.

First lesson was that it is bad when you run out of hill to ski down, Alex will always want more hill. Second lesson was that it would be easier to wear Alpine boots skis instead of telemark. Third lesson, its not a good idea to keep goldfish crackers in your knee pocket, he doesn't want them and eventually you WILL have to kneel down. Next time I will wear a backpack, strap my poles to it, and have a place to put our cameras. Hand warmers are a must for the little dude. Get a harness or a hoola hoop and let him experiment with gliding on his own. Crashing is the best part. (according to Alex!)

Glad to see it worked out! Can't wait to hear if a hula hoop or harness are good too!
