Peter and the Prudent Tower

Peter Panos came to Boston. We were so lucky to have him stay with us! He had an interview for an MBA program here in Boston. I really hope that he gets in so that he and Samantha could live here. We were sad that Sam couldn't come but we hope that they will move here so that it won't matter anyway. While Peter was here Patrick had a day off. On Monday we went to the Prudential Tower. This is the view of the north end weird that you cant see the tower in the picture... just kidding we were in it.

It was incredible there was an amazing view of the city. It refreshed my perspective to see the city from above. It was nice to finally understand the maze that I drive through every day. I feel like I get the layout. Here is Fenway from above... we still need to go there!

Also I couldn't believe the architecture from above. I realized that there are so many things that I still need to do while we live here. We have museums and historical sites coming out our ears and we have hardly seen any of them. Check out this awesome view of Back bay!

One bit of advice for anyone who visits the tower... don't see the movie. It is terrible. It has the worst acting I have ever seen and it is so loud. All you do it watch crazy people freak out at a really loud volume and pretend to be historical figures. Believe it or not Alex slept through the entire thing. Any way I don't want to end on a negative note. It was really cool to go to the tower. Originally this post was going to be called our home the speck. Here instead is a picture with our home in it... it is just a speck but it is there.

After the tower we went to the north end. We discovered a bakery that has been open for a hundred years. We bought a loaf of bread for really cheap. I realized there that that bakery had survived the depression and two world wars. it was still in the family that had started it over a hundred years ago how cool is that? After that we wandered around the north end some more and went to Costa Bella for lunch. It was really cold and we were excited to get in where it was warm and eat some real food. Patrick had Chicken Bolognese, i had Manacotti and Peter had steamed calamari with past sauce. We were stuffed!

The last night that Peter was in town we did one of our favorite things. We picked out some lobsters at shaws and they steamed them right up. We then rushed them home and ate them up with asparagus and lots of butter. This picture is entitled "Peter and the Claw". Patrick tried to explain that once you rip off the claw you can't put it back on.

I am getting good at picking the meat out of the bodies... so I ate Patrick and Peters' lobster bodies. Patrick is getting so good at eating lobster that he had eaten the claws and tail in less than five minutes. He has some serious crustacean skills.

We were sad that Peter had to go. We had a lot of fun while he was here! This picture is entitled "Peter and the Shell Bucket".
