October sixth was our anniversary. So, we left the Garff's in charge of Alex and we went out on the town. We ate at the Dolphin restaraunt. I we ate thai seasoned clamari, we tried oysters for the first time, I ordered a HUGE alasken crab, and Patrick ordered Salmon. Hmm oysters, well they taste like salt water... and thats it. Only they don't really taste that bad because they slide right down the throut. They spend 0.0001 seconds in the mouth and they disappear down the esophagus. Even if you try to make them linger in your mouth all they taste like is salt water. Our order had eight Oysters in it, we felt it necessary to only eat two each. i didn't want to fill up on salt water when I had crab coming. The crabs claw was bigger than my fist. The dish was simple and fantastic. I think Brother Brown reccommended this restaraunt and I will thank him for the next two years while we live in Boston for it.
After dinner we got an amazing chocolate cake at Finale. We decided to share it with Catherine and Mike to thank them for watching Alex while we were at dinner. Catherine took one bite and started to laugh because it was so good. Then she got really hyper and we took a picture that she might not appreciate having posted on the blog but I will post it anyway. If she complains I will take it off of the blog if you do not see it pictured below then you know she already asked me to remove it.
We discovered during their visit that all the grandkids love Mike... not just Carsen. Alex was most relaxed that weekend if Mike was holding him. I think it has to do with how calm mike is.He exudes tranquility... which Alex seemed to enjoy very much.
On Sunday we watched conference and I cooked up a storm... but we didn't take any pictures. So Monday was crazy! It was the ultimate, see Boston in a day, event. We walked the freedom trail
